Shampoo Storage For Grooming Trailers

June 06, 2009 By: admin Category: Grooming Ergonomics

ONLY GT Grooming Trailers has so much storage for your shampoos!  Almost every other grooming trailer company has nearly ZERO space for your soaps, but GT has a shelf perfectly designed to hold over eight gallons of your favorite shampoos.

The other companies may have a little “ledge” or “caddy” for you to fit a couple tiny bottle of soap, but nobody has as much room as GT.  Our shampoo storage shelf can be customized in a number of ways for you if you desire, is in the PERFECT place for easy access, and is integrated into the bathing center.

With GT, you don’t need to “open a cabinet” to find your shampoos, you simply lift your hand up and apply the needed soap.  EVERYTHING IS EASY with GT!

No More Guessing

pet-wash-trailer-waterWith GT Grooming Trailers, there is no more guessing how much water is left in your 55 gallon fresh water tank.  Even though our enormous tanks can last a typical day, it is nice to be able to SEE how much water is remaining.  All GT grooming trailers are built with a “window” below the bathtub showing precisely how much water is remaining.

Building smart is our niche.  Our tanks are custom built for GT so we can have some of the largest water tanks in the industry.  By using custom tanks, we are able to install our mechanical items in a more efficient manner than the competition–allowing us to provide MORE working space in a smaller overall trailer.

EVERYTHING is thought out.  Instead of using big-box hardware store tubs, we fabricate our own bathing center. The bathing center doesn’t “sit on legs” like the competition because our trailer shells are built EXCLUSIVELY FOR GT and are framed precisely for our bathing center to be bolted into the grooming trailer’s framing.  Again, this allows GT to use the area under the tub more efficiently which provides a much larger work area.

Grooming Trailer Design 101

This is a picture of a pet grooming trailer we completed just a couple days ago.  When Jerry came out to pick it up, he was really excited to see that the GT grooming trailer is even more spacious and well-designed than he expected!

One feature that Jerry noticed is how GT keeps the doorway clear from cabinets and other clutter (see grooming trailers floorplan for example).  It’s true, our cabinets and storage areas in the front of our salons are built to effeciently store  all your needed equipment yet still allow easy access to through our custom-made 26″ door.

How can we do this?  GT fabricates all our stainless steel features–we DON’T simply screw big box hardware store wooden cabinets to the floor which rot, wobble apart, and yes–stick out in front of the door.

Another SMART Grooming Trailer Feature

GT Grooming Trailers builds all of our grooming trailers with the possibility of our customers wanting to expand their mobile dog grooming empire.  Groomers who hire employees can max out their profits by allowing their grooming trailer to be out on the road seven days a week.  With GT’s grooming caddy, it is EASY for groomer #1 to remove his personal equipment and for groomer #2 to bring her’s in!  Simply pull out the push-pins and the grooming caddy comes off!  Even grooming companies that are one-man outfits find that the GT design allows for easier cleaning.

Grooming Trailers Don't Need 'Tub Ramps'

June 01, 2009 By: admin Category: Grooming Ergonomics, Grooming equipment

grooming-trailers-ramps

The GT Grooming Trailer does not need a ramp to help larger dogs into its stainless steel tub. Many “shop” groomers bring their assumption into the mobile industry, but soon learn that “shop” grooming and “mobile” grooming are two completely different things.

The GT  Grooming Trailer has a hydraulic table that is only about 12 inches from the tub.  GT can build any size table top you want, with ports, rubberized to match your floor, etc.  We can place the tables closer to the tub if lifting larger dogs into the tub is going to be a concern.

Once a large dog is on the table, simply just let the grooming table do the lifting for you!  Once raised, the pet is within stepping distance of the tub.  With GT, there is no hassle of storing a useless ramp (I’ve never known a dog to actually USE a ramp).  EVERYTHING IS EASY with GT!

Grooming Trailer Lights

May 30, 2009 By: admin Category: Grooming Ergonomics

gt-grooming-trailer-lightsI continue to be amazed at how some grooming trailer converters boast about their “engineering” and “ergonomics” specialties yet fail to use some common sense when it comes to installing lights.

The best place to have lights in a mobile grooming trailer is ON THE CEILING–NOT DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF YOUR EYES.  All GT pet grooming trailers have lights on the ceiling.  We have 16 feet of tubes with diffusers to provide the best quality light we can.

When shopping for a mobile grooming salon, be sure to see where interior lights are installed.  Make sure they are NOT in your line of site when bathing or grooming a dog. The configuration that you see in this photo is our standard grooming trailers lighting package and provides the groomer with more than enough light to work in–even in the evening!

What About Large Dogs?

April 29, 2009 By: admin Category: Grooming Ergonomics, Grooming equipment

YES!  The GT is designed to accommodate large dogs too.  Our tub is plenty strong, our table is plenty strong, and we install restraint eyelets for all sizes of dogs.  The table is hydraulic, so it lowers to about one foot off of the ground.  So, if a dog is too heavy for you to lift, simply let the table do the lifting for you!  Once raised, the table is only about one foot (customizable) away from the tub so even the most difficult dog can easily be put into the tub.  We are working on a video to show this, so keep checking back.

FLOOR SPACE : More GT Efficiency

January 30, 2008 By: admin Category: Grooming Ergonomics, Trailer Basics

The GT Grooming Trailer is STILL in a class by itself. Our standard 5 by 8 foot model has 5 feet of floorspace between the bathing center and the front storage–That’s 6 FEET OF SPACE from the tub to the front wall!

A competitor’s 6 by 12 foot model (TWICE the size of a GT) only has 6 feet of space between the bathing center and the front cabinets.

In other words, they had to almost DOUBLE the size of trailer to gain only 1 extra foot of workspace! (more…)

GT Makes It Look Easy!

September 25, 2007 By: admin Category: Grooming Ergonomics, Grooming equipment, Trailer Basics

GT Grooming Trailers makes it look easy! We think it’s now 5 companies that have tried to clone the 5′ x 8′ GT Grooming trailer. It’s really not that difficult if one chooses NOT to cut corners. Some have gone out of business, some are still trying. (more…)

Intelligent Design For Mobile Groomers

August 28, 2007 By: admin Category: Grooming Ergonomics, Grooming equipment, Trailer Basics

Intelligent design is becoming rare in the mobile grooming conversion industry. Most conversion companies are lazy and force their customers to use a design that is more suited for storing groceries. (more…)
